Wall mounted fire fighter for the home

Discreet wall-mounted fire sprinkler won’t disturb the ceiling

Back arrowBack to the comparison table

Traditional domestic sprinklers typically mount nozzles on the ceiling only. This can be problematic if you want to avoid damage to any decorative elements (e.g. ornamental ceiling centres, ceiling rings, ceiling roses, and cornices) or interaction with asbestos textured coatings (e.g. Artex, Marblecoat, Newtex, Pebblecoat). Asbestos products were applied internally and externally to properties up until around 1984.

Homeowners can incur extra costs if lights or downstand beams interfere with ceiling nozzles. If there is a clash between light fittings and the ceiling nozzles positions (due to the requirements of the nozzle coverage), the light fittings will be moved to at least 300mm from the nozzle (or possibly further dependent on the type of light fitting). This problem generally occurs when there is one light fitting and one nozzle in a room. Ceiling mounted nozzles also cost extra to align with lighting or HVAC (Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning).

Automist is different. It has an award-winning wall-mounted design intended to blend in and sit discreetly alongside light switches. We add a ceiling-mounted detector or integrate it with your existing ceiling mounted early warning alarm as part of the system.
